July 5: Packing up my kitchen stuff..
July 6: I feel so scatter-brained and disorganized that I started writing stuff down of all the things I need to do in the next month.
July 7: I unknowingly started collecting coffee mugs. I got the Chicago one (in the middle) the first time I went to visit Brad, then I got the Daily Reveille one as a senior gift, then Alex gave me the Beverly Hills one, Lydia gave me the San Francisco one, and I bought the big Cafe Du Monde one when Kristin came in town. They're all coming to Chicago with me, a little part of home and memories.
July 8: I don't know if anyone knows this, but someone I dated in high school gave this to me when I was 17. It lost it's sentiment when he said "Oh I got it on ebay for 40 bucks." I'm not even sure if it's entirely real, but it never felt real to me, like he would have gave it to me in the way you'd think a boyfriend gives his girlfriend jewelry. I wore it for a few weeks and eventually we broke up, and it has sat in my jewelry box for the past 8 years. I'll probably try to sell it when I get back from Texas. I feel like I should have some attachment to it, but I don't. I never really did.
July 9: I went to New Orleans and had lunch and saw a movie with Rachel. I missed her, so it was nice to hang out with her. She always makes me laugh. She said something along the lines of "Don't date a guy with no balls. Because you can't grow those back." hahaha
June 24: My parents' first visit to Chicago. At Navy Pier.
June 25: Liquid Tension Experiment show Brad took me too. The keyboard messed up and was a half-step off (or so I'm told) and was on the phone backstage with Japan for 20 minutes trying to figure out was wrong. They ended jamming and switching instruments for the rest of the show. It was pretty cool and unbelievable that people can play instruments so effortlessly and so well. Thanks Brad. :)
June 26: MY NEW APARTMENT!!! I'm such a city girl now! :)
June 27: Brad and I in Grant Park during the Taste of Chicago. Probably one of the worst pictures of me ever, but I'm getting too old to care about every single bad picture of myself. It was a lot fun besides being hot and me getting a giant red triangle sunburn on my chest.
June 28: Goodbye Chicago, see you soon!
June 29: Like I'd go somewhere with an H&M and come back empty handed! I got 2 shirts and a dress for $44. <3
June 30: My new bathing suit. After around 6-7 years, I guess I had to buy one.
Now I'm finally caught up! I'll try to stay on top of this more.
I know I have been terrible about keeping up with my pictures, but since the majority of the time all I do is work and sit around my house, there isn't always interesting things going on and I forget to take a picture of me laying in my bed with my laptop on my lap (probably for good reason because who cares). Anyway, I decided to scan a few of my favorite pictures from when I was a little girl and share them..
June 15: I usually think of my father on Father's Day, but lately I've been talking to my mom a lot about my grandfather. He served in WWII, loved Mardi Gras and my grandmother's cooking. He always dressed nice. I wish I could have gotten to know him better. All of my memories of him are through photographs, like this one. He loved life. Sometimes when I'm laughing really hard or just enjoying the moment for whatever reason, I feel him with me. Happy Father's Day, Grandpa.
June 16: My brother at Christmas when he was 2.
June 17: The same Christmas. My first.
June 18: September 1984. My first birthday.
June 19: Me around a year old.
June 20: This has always been one of my favorite pictures of me and my brother.
June 21: My brother, mom and me at City Park in New Orleans.
June 22: My brother, dad and me at Disney World. My brother was 8 and I was 6. Notice my brother has a straw hanging out of his mouth.
June 23: My brother, mom and me at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. This is one of my favorite pictures of Lloyd because anyone who knows him knows how definitive this picture of him is, even at age 8/9.
June 11
June 12: the MP on my camera isn't so great, especially for zoom, but I always love the way a full moon looks.
June 13: Favorite bar in Baton Rouge. Always a good time.
June 14: Cabrew from last year because I thankfully did not bring my camera on the 8-hour never ending tubing trip, and who knows what happened to Wes's waterlogged "water proof" camera.
June 1: "I need two Lejas and a Bob." She is a bitch. "Uh, you put my Splendas in here?!?!" Seven pumps of sugar-free vanilla, two shots of 1/2 decaf, 2 splendas, extra hot skim milk, no foam in a supergrande cup. Bob is the mocha with 2 splendas and 2 shots of 1/2 decaf in a supergrande cup. And he's just as much of an ass as she is. It's so ridiculous that these people have their drink recipes posted like they're any more important than anyone else.
June 2: Espresso bar.
June 3: Torani syrups.
June 4: Maggie was attacking me with kisses.
June 5: Alex's dog Lucy. She's so big!
June 6: Starbucks changed their logo. Their coffee is still burnt.
June 7: I forgot a picture for today so here is one of Fred's dog Jax, who likes to get his head stuck in the blinds.
June 8: TIGERS WIN! One more win and then it's Omaha and CWS time!
June 9: Some things I found in my trunk while cleaning out my closet. A painting and drawing from art class (I miss painting and drawing), and a poem I wrote in 3rd grade that won me a blue ribbon.
I took a few pictures of some of his prints here.
i have been to more h&m's than I can count and it's amazing!! i got 3 dresses and a skirt... read more
